John and I were lucky this past July to travel to Colorado Springs, CO for Andrew & Margeaux’s wedding.  I blogged their wedding photos within the week after returning to Illinois but realized I forgot to share our personal photos from the trip! John and I absolutely LOVED Colorado.  We couldn’t decide if it was the people, the blue skies, the food, the active lifestyle or what it was but we were totally sold.  We loved our 3 day trip and were bummed that we hadn’t planned to make the trip longer.  We arrived the Thursday before the wedding and stopped in Denver to create our own burgers at the The Cherry Cricket before heading out to Spruce Mountain Ranch to check out their wedding venue.  Compared to the flat lands in Central Illinois I was seriously spoiled getting the opportunity to shoot surrounded by the hills and scenery in Colorado Springs.

Although the wedding was in Colorado Springs, John and I stayed in Boulder, CO at Andrew & Margeaux’s apartment.  We were so fortunate to have been able to stay in their place and get a true Boulder experience.  We walked over to Beau Jo’s Pizza the Thursday we arrived for dinner and ended up eating at Beau Jo’s again on Friday night.  The pizza and their famous wheat crust paired with honey was too much not to go back return to for a second night.  On Friday, we had the day to explore on our own and just enjoy the day in Boulder.  We began our day as Margeaux suggested at The Buff where they served $.99 mimosas and a delicious brunch.  We went hiking on the FlagStaff Trail, one of the many in the Chautauqua Trails.  John and I loved spending the day in Boulder and enjoyed hiking especially after the big brunch we had.

Soooo in love with the photos of Andrew & Margeaux’s wedding day and just with Colorado in general.

As always, I am so happy that my favorite human John was able to spend the weekend exploring CO with me and help me capture all of the moments of A & M’s wedding day.
