Theater on the Lake Wedding, DJ & Bri, Chicago IL

Not many couples can say they have photographs together before they could even walk… but DJ & Bri can! Their mothers were college roommates, besties and had babies right around the same time. Those babies happened to be DJ and Bri. As infants and toddlers, DJ and Bri were two peas in a pod up until both of their families relocated for jobs. It wasn’t their early 20s that DJ and Bri reconnected. At the time they were reintroduced to each other, DJ lived in Alabama while Bri was in Chicago. Although they didn’t really plan on it, somehow they started talking every single day after they met. It wasn’t long before DJ was getting a job in Chicago and moving closer to Bri.

Flash forward through moving in together, getting engaged (see their engagement photos here) and wedding planning to their incredible wedding day at Theater on the Lake. DJ and Bri are seriously two of my absolute favorites. Just like everyone who gave a speech mentioned at their wedding, Bri has the most infectious smile. She’s adventurous, compassionate, funny and genuine. For everyone of those incredible characteristics, DJ has one to match. He is such a fun, loving guy and it’s obvious to everyone what a perfect pair they make as a couple. w

The only way to describe their wedding is completely full of joy. Not only DJ and Bri but everyone near and dear to them had a permanent smile on their face. At one point right after the ceremony, Bri’s brother popped champagne and unintentionally soaked Bri with champagne. While some brides would have been stressed in this situation, Bri’s smile got even brighter and she along with everyone else just laughed over it all. The relaxed, joyous spirit of the entire day was amazing. I can’t even explain how happy I am to have been apart of DJ and Bri’s wedding and already wish I could be photographing them again!
