Oh Jeremy & Ellen! What a fun couple and a wonderful wedding day. This couple was married on October 10th at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Champaign, IL. It is one of my favorite churches and it absolutely beautiful to photograph and be in. Their reception was held at the Hilton Garden Inn and was themed perfectly with their wedding colors. As always, Ryan Reid (Crash Events) did a great job with uplighting and then later getting the party started on the dance floor. Jeremy & Ellen were surrounded by many friends and family on their special day, including 10 members on each side of their bridal party along with two little ones as the flower girl and ring bearer.

I loved that Ellen had her 3 sisters in her bridal party and that I was able to see their close relationships. Julie, one of Ellen’s sisters and the maid of honor, made taking “laughing” photos so much fun with her loud burst of laughter every time I suggested that pose. Not to mention, she got everyone else cracking up as well! For their bridal party and immediate family photos, we walked a short distance to take pictures on University of Illinois quad. It was a gorgeous Saturday and the quad was filled with people enjoying the afternoon. We even had a group of students ask to take a photo with the bridal party as part of scavenger hunt.

I am so grateful to Gwen Wilson (Nuptiae – The wedding & Event Planners) for recommending me to Jeremy and Ellen. I love that I was able to be a part of their beginning stages of planning when completing my college internship with Nuptiae Events and Planning. And then, to be able to photograph their wedding and see how all of the planning came together was wonderful. Jeremy and Ellen had a beautiful wedding that was a great time for everyone. Thank you Jeremy and Ellen for allowing me to capture the moments of your special day.
