Happy 12th Birthday Bear!!!! This big boy has brought so much joy into John & I’s lives.  We adopted him from the Champaign County Humane Society last June after his owner had passed away (To see Bear’s first blog post, CLICK HERE).  Although these aren’t the highest quality photos, here’s a collection of some of my favorite photos of the baby Bear and what his days typically include.  He is 12 years old today in human years which in dog years means he is 89 years old!!! And if you can’t tell by these photos, he is the liveliest 89 year old I know!

 

Peanut butter is one of his favorites snacks (also, carrots).

Bear had lots of Illini spirit on Homecoming this year!

He loves friends Ollie & Kenzie (also, not pictured his friend Callie).

Bear weirdly enjoys the vet quite a bit and is always very eager to do whatever they tell him!

We tried to get Bear a Bears jersey… the XXL dog size still didn’t quite fit right….

Close second is the bathtub though!

Bear was a big fan of all holidays this year aside from Easter (he was embarrassed to wear the bunny ears).

Sleepovers with my sister Audrey are the best!

Thunderstorms are NOT! Bear is incredibly needy during storms and usually wants to be on top of me or requires me to be touching him at all times.

He also has some other strange spots he likes to lay…

He liked his toy football a little too much.

Loves walks! Especially when we went to UIUC’s campus and he got lots of attention from the students.
